As a former Television Writer/Producer, American National Consulting Executive Director Josh Gilbert brings a unique blend of storytelling, strategic thinking and creative leadership to the world of sports consulting. A lifelong athlete and passionate sports fan, he excels at developing narratives, managing high-level creative projects, planning large-scale events, and engaging with audiences.
Having worked in the 'writers' room' of six TV shows and in post-production on four feature films, Josh built his career thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure environments to bring ideas from concept to completion. His experience in content development, communication, event coordination, and production management gives him a distinct ability to identify opportunities, shape messaging, and help clients tell impactful stories both on and off the field.
With a deep understanding of sports culture, media, and audience engagement, Josh is committed to helping athletes, brands, and organizations navigate the evolving sports landscape through strategic partnerships, creative development, and innovative live and digital experiences.
FOUNDER
American National Consulting team leader is former NFL executive, Stephen Austin. At the NFL, he served as Director of NFL Combine Properties and Executive Producer at NFL Network. Stephen created, produced and starred in UNDRAFTED, which stands as the highest-rated show in the NFL Network history and earned two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary.
Stephen is a seasoned negotiator with a strong history of structuring contracts and closing deals in the competitive fields of sports and media. He is a committed individual contributor with a robust work ethic while also improving team performance in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
Stephen utilizes his vast expertise in content, event management, operational logistics, and finance to guide sports and entertainment projects from their initial stages to successful completion and profitability.
